What Remains of the
Wall

More than three decades after its fall, the Berlin Wall has largely disappeared from the everyday landscape. Yet traces of its logic — separation, boundaries, controlled passages and divided spaces — can still be sensed throughout the contemporary city.

Rather than photographing the Wall itself or its historical remains, What Remains of the Wall searches for indirect echoes: fences, gaps, thresholds, surfaces and people moving through spaces that both connect and separate.

The project is not an attempt to document what physically survives of the Wall, but to question what may remain of the idea of division once the structure itself has disappeared.
